NEW DELHI, SEPT 26: Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain, Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS), visited Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL) at Korwa to review its capabilities for achieving 100 per cent indigenous production of the AK-203 assault rifle.
During the visit, he was briefed on the manufacturing ecosystem, production capacity and progress towards indigenisation.
The VCOAS toured the production facilities and reviewed various indigenous manufacturing processes.
He appreciated the professionalism and commitment of the IRRPL team towards strengthening domestic defence production.
The Indian Army reiterated its commitment to advancing Atmanirbharta and capability development under the broader JAI se VIJAY initiative, with a focus on enhancing indigenous defence capabilities, self-reliance and operational readiness.
