KHALTSI, SEPT 21: Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Kunzes Angmo, chaired a departmental review meeting with the Agriculture Department at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Khaltsi, and issued directions for effective implementation of schemes, timely completion of ongoing activities and improved delivery of services to farmers.
The meeting reviewed the progress of various agriculture schemes, developmental activities and departmental initiatives being implemented across the district.
Officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on achievements, ongoing works and challenges affecting implementation.
Deputy Director Agriculture Tashi Dolma gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation covering the progress of departmental schemes, activities and initiatives.
Taking stock of the implementation status, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure timely execution of approved programmes, closely monitor field-level progress and address implementation bottlenecks without delay.
She stressed that government schemes must translate into tangible benefits for farmers and that delivery of departmental services should remain efficient and responsive.
Angmo further called for stronger inter-departmental coordination and focused efforts to strengthen the agriculture sector in District Sham, directing the concerned officers to maintain close monitoring of ongoing initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Agriculture Tashi Dolma, I/c Agriculture Extension Officer Tundup Namgail, and other concerned officials of the Agriculture Department.
